The Kindergartners helped out In Heaven’s Eyes.
The 1st graders went to Guerin Woods to visit with the elderly and sing Christmas songs for them. They also did extra chores around the house to collect money to purchase shoes for In Heaven’s Eyes to take to those less fortunate.
The 2nd graders did extra chores at home to get money to help purchase gifts for four children for Christmas. The kids got to help wrap the presents and did a great job!
The 3rd graders each took a name off of the Angel Tree and bought what was needed for that person.
The 4th grade students made “Soup in a Jar” and sold these to family and friends. The money raised from this was used to purchase Christmas gifts for a family.
The 5th graders were asked to get healthy snacks for the Head Start students. The students created buttons that were sold to school families. The kids who purchased buttons were allowed to wear jeans on a specific day. The kids then created bags full of goodies that included board games, puzzles, and lots of snacks!
The 7th grade students created shoe boxes full of gifts for a specific age child. The box included personal hygiene items as well as fun items. These boxes are sent to Operation Christmas Child and sent somewhere in the world.
