2020-21 Re-Entry Plan
Dear Parents,
With guidance from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, IN-CLASS (Indiana’s Consideration for Learning and Safe Schools), our local health department, and Holy Family School & Preschool Safety Team, I am happy to share our re-entry plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Our number one concern when developing our plan was the safety and well-being of our students, families, faculty, and staff. It is important that we offer the best education in the safest environment. Please know a lot of thought and prayer has gone into this plan. As we all know, things can change at a moment’s notice. (Throughout the plan I use the term “family/cohort” which is referencing homeroom groups.)
As shared earlier, our plan is to begin school on August 5th with 5 days a week of in-school instruction.
An aftercare survey is included in the re-entry plan. Please fill out the survey to let us know your need so we can begin to plan accordingly. We are asking that you please think about your need for childcare and if you have other options for childcare such as family members or babysitters, etc. please choose them.
The Archdiocese of Indianapolis has released a Student Health and Safety Plan. All parents must fill out this form and submit to the office before school begins or before taking part in an extracurricular activity that begins before August 5. Please see the link in the re-entry plan.
Thank you for your continued support in Holy Family School & Preschool. We look forward to a great year and being back together with our Ohana. I will be sharing the Parent-Student Handbook and back to school information soon.
In His service,
Amy Huber
Principal

Introducing the Next HFS Principal!

After an extensive search, Holy Family Catholic Parish is pleased to announce that Mrs. Amy Huber will be the next principal of Holy Family Catholic School & Preschool.
With 29-years of experience teaching and leading within Holy Family Catholic School & Preschool, Mrs. Huber is already a cherished member of our ‘Holy Family’ family. She brings a tremendous love and devotion to the mission of Catholic Education for our children, the Church, and the community.
Mrs. Huber has served Holy Family Catholic School & Preschool most recently as the Assistant Principal for the last two years. In that time, she has assisted with teacher professional development, NAFC School Corporation liaison for Special Education, RTI (Response-to-Intervention) coordinator, as well as assisting with the Preschool where she trains our youngest Eagles in their first steps to soar. Mrs. Huber is known as a competent, confident, and can-do person capable of stepping in wherever she’s needed most. As a graduate of Providence High School, Indiana University, and Indiana Wesleyan University, she is well qualified for this new leadership responsibility. No stranger to technology integration in her own classroom, she is leading the efforts for 1:1 integration for our middle-school for the coming year. She is dedicated to preparing each student with 21st-century skills and knowledge to be productive members of society. Mrs. Huber sets exceptionally high standards, morally and professionally, for herself and will do the same for those in our school.
Not only is the ‘Holy Family’ family important to Mrs. Huber, so is her own. She and her husband have three grown children, and this spring, welcomed their first grandchild. Mrs. Huber and her husband are active members of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Starlight, IN. There, she regularly assists at Sunday Masses as a Lector and an engaged chairperson of the annual Strawberry Festival.
Holy Family Catholic School & Preschool Inspires Minds, Imparts Caring Hearts, and Instills Lives dedicated to Christ in all her students, staff, and community. Every child is challenged to achieve academic excellence, social and emotional maturity, personal self-mastery and sanctity through a solid Catholic Christian formation and education. We foster each graduate to embrace lifelong Catholic Christian values and virtues that will enable them to become a contributing member to the Church and the greater community.
We are excited for Mrs. Amy Huber to lead Holy Family Catholic School & Preschool, as we move into this promising new future, together.

- Laugh together, enjoy our fun times as a family
- Educate our family in a manner that supports and empowers each student to reach their full potential
- Set and uphold expectations for all our family members
- Be present and involved as the leader of the family both inside and outside our school day
- Be consistent with our family
- Promote the 21st-century learner
- Fight for your child and the school’s future
- Cheer the triumphs of our students and school with shouts and applause
