Another great day was had by all! We made our way to the Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum. The kiddos walked through a Powhatan Indian village, based on the town of Paspahegh with re-creations of reed-covered houses, ceremonial circle and crop fields. They continued through James Fort with thatched-roof houses, storehouse, court of guard and church inside a triangular palisade, representing 1610-1614. We boarded a re-creation of one of the three ships that sailed to Virginia in 1607 to establish America’a First permanent English colony.
After lunch we continued our touring to Colonial Williamsburg, a colonial town with dressed interpreters in all the shops. We visited many trades such as the Foundry, Milliner, Public Gaol, Courthouse and Capitol. The kiddos played hoop and stick and learned how to greet another when dancing! We ended our tour with a court hearing against Ms Cammie where she was found guilty!
Our day ended with dinner at Golden Corral, where no one left hungry!
We have a big day tomorrow with an early wake up call! We are looking forward to visiting the Capitol Building and much more.
We closed out our night with evening prayer and what we are thankful for. Your prayers for safe travels and great weather are appreciated and have been answered! Please keep them coming!
Until tomorrow,
Mrs. Huber
